Youth Inclusion Projects
We offer a range of educational and social activities that support children and young people in developing confidence, positive self esteem and emotional literacy. Click here to view pictures of our recent activity trip.
The programme of events and activities include:
- After school workshops
- Individual and group mentoring support
- Year 6 Transition to High School Project
- Holiday schemes and residential Parents/carers support workshops
We work closely with schools, LEAs, Health and Social Services and the voluntary sector, to provide individualized educational and social programmes for children and young people between the ages of 5-16 years. At the core of all the activities is the development of emotional literacy, social and life skills. This is achieved through group work, circle time, counselling as well as a range of outdoor adventurous challenging activities. Emphasis is given to exploring the consequences of different behaviours and attitudes, both positive and negative, as well as developing strategies for resolving differences. The Youth Inclusion Projects also encourages children and young people to challenge negative and anti-social behaviour, which may potentially lead them into crime.
Our aim is to promote inclusion
All behaviour (verbal and non verbal) is a result of an underlying need and the context within which it occurs. Challenging and anti-social behaviour is often an indicator of a persons low self esteem and negative self image Acknowledging and articulating feelings and emotions are skills that can be taught and learnt. Our activities are supported by the Ealing Children's Fund and BBC Children in Need . Contact us for more information on Events and Programmes.
