Admission Procedure

  1. Referral by School or Local Authority

    A referral to the school is made through the pupil's school or local authority

  2. Formal Application with Reports

    The formal application should be made to the Director and should be accompanied by:

  3. Initial Assessment

    An initial assessment for placement will be made based on the documentation provided. This will be followed by an offer of an interview and visit to the centre for the pupil, parent/carer and representative from the school or local authority.

  4. Decision within 7 days

    A decision on placement will be conveyed within seven days after the interview.

  5. Written request & placement agreement

    If the prospective place is to be pursued by the school or local authority a written request is required and will also be responded to within seven days. Referral agencies will be required to sign a placement agreement prior to the pupil starting at the centre.
